This property in Melbourne is actually a house that looks like the luxurious hotels and inspired by the lavishing resorts in the city. Probably the owner usually goes to resorts to have a great time of R&R so he decided to have his own instead.

Just like in a typical resort, there are tropical trees and botanic garden which surrounds the Eaglemont 66 residence. This house that has a lot of room for relaxation also has a lot of space for elegance and class. A minimalist style is flourishing all over the house starting from the living room up to the bedrooms. Most of the areas in the house were made from glass (wall to ceiling window glasses) to take advantage of the well-crafted resort-like environment outside.

The Lake House, also known as the Cedar Park House, located in Washington is truly one of the most beautiful nature-inspired houses. It took advantage of the breath-taking sceneries of the Lake Washington in Seattle. Almost all parts of the house is open unless you glide the seamless clear glass doors just in case you want to set a boundary between the outdoors and the home. Walls are clean white concrete but the material used in the floors and even in the doors is cedar. According to Peter Cohan, the house was actually meant for the outdoor spaces.

If you are tired of being confined inside the house, then be inspired with the Cedar Park House. There is a wide array of activities that you can do around it aside from getting an excellent R&R even without leaving the comfort of your own home. An outdoor lover would surely be fascinated and astounded with this kind of shelter, wouldn’t you?

Have you seen the movie Charlie’s Angels where Drew Barrymore’s ass got kicked in a window panel? Ain’t the house something that you would love to have? One of the rich people in Hollywood actually had his own version of that home but much better. The very modern home situated at the Hollywood hills has a great view of the infamous Sunset Boulevard. So why did they call it as the Open House? Well, it’s not really open until you slide the glass panels at the front and at the back of the house. This erases the border between the home and the outside. Don’t worry about earthquakes and other earth-shaking situations. The huge glass panels all over the house are supported by various materials such as concrete, plaster, stone, as well as dark stained oak.

Why do Japanese has these crazy and futuristic ideas? And they even incorporate these when building houses. Aside from the handy gadgets and electronics that are flourishing in the Japanese market, there are now also compacts shelters which they call as the Paco House.

Each and every space in the Paco House is essential. So what the architects did is to maximize it as much as they can. Want to sleep? Not a problem! A comfortable hammock can actually give you that nighty-night sleep that you’ve always wanted without the bug bites. You can also try the extra space below if you don’t want to fill it up with your stuff.

The best thing about the Paco House is that you can conceal some parts of the house such as the dining area and the toilet when not in use. This allows you to occupy the space just in case you want invite people to party with you. Aside from that, the Paco House is also equipped with biodegradable toilet which recycles water. And yeah, the house’s electricity works on wind and solar power as well.

Would you like to live in one of these? How about in the near future?

No, not the garden-like green house. By green, we mean an eco-friendly house. Because many people are now aware of the global warming and the effects that it bring, families are now going green. And this fight against global warming is now incorporated even in the house designs.

The key in creating a green house is the use of wood, and this must be the dominant material in building the house. It must also have spaces where you can view trees or even include trees as part of the rooms in the house. Some Green houses today even use solar panels or home wind turbines to have a more efficient energy that is not just eco-friendly but budget-friendly at the same time.
